T.R. McCoy's

Summary: Charming and Tasty

An anachronism of sorts, this tiny italian eatery is located in half of a giant A-Frame log cabin. As you wait your turn to eat you'll keep thinking that you should be about to have steak, but in reality T.R. McCoy's (very italian name as well???) is mostly flavourful mediterranean cuisine.

Only open during the cottage season ~may long weekend to late september, reservations are recommended just about any night at prime dinner time and are more or less mandatory on weekends unless you enjoy waiting 2 hours for a table.

The mouth watering pizzas on the menu are surpassed only by delectable pastas covered in a vast array of sauces.

I must confess that on 75% of my visits I have the exact same thing, penne noodles covered in a vodka cream sauce laced with chili peppers. Spicy and sinus clearing, I'm in absolute heaven. Just about everything on the menu is great, but I would council against dessert. Not that the desserts are great too, but I think finishing your meal by grabbing an ice cream cone across the street then walking down to the lake (and walking off some of your dinner) is a much more satisfying end to the meal.
