Summary: Great Old Theater for Concerts and Movies |

The Vic is a nice place to see a good concert, it has a good amount of room and a good tiered structure so you can get a view of the stage from pretty much wherever you are standing. The bar prices are pretty reasonable for Chicago and the bartenders tend to be nice. The venue isn't the biggest in the area but it is nicer than something like the Aragon (and the crowd tends to be older too, which is nice). One of the best things about the Vic is that on days when they don't have concerts they show second-run movies for I think $5. Everybody gets drunk and generally has a great time. Unless it is a really roudy film that demands audience interraction (like "Rocky Horror Picture Show"), the crowd tends to just come and watch the films, so you get lots of room to spread out and if you get bored with the film you can look at the nice architecture.
