The W

Although situated in Downtown, The W is actually nestled away from all the busy-ness of the Gaslamp District. However, once you are there, you may find all you need for the rest for the night - it is, afterall, difficult to barhop to another bar that may even come close to The W.

This hotel's lounge boasts large sofas and tables for great lounging, although the privacy may be a bit stunted as it is also where guests and newcomers enter. Take the stairs and you'll be transported to an amazing hotel top bar with beach sand as flooring. Private booths are tucked away on one side and the bar on the other. The other side is one continous seating area. You get the idea - a great, upscale, hip, and uniquely cool bar. Recommended.
